RENT, the revolutionary rock opera by Jonathan Larson, is the imaginative retelling of the classic Puccini opera La Boheme.
This is an unforgettable and timeless story of a community of artists living in poverty and celebrating life in the face of death and AIDS at the turn of the 21st century.
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize, RENT has made a lasting mark on Broadway with songs that rock and a story that resonates.
The cast includes Joel Crowley as Roger Davis, a songwriter who is HIV positive; James Muller as Mark Cohen, an independent filmmaker and Roger's roommate and Ashley Christy as Mimi Márquez, an exotic dancer with HIV; Jason Phillips as Tom Collins, a gay philosophy professor and anarchist with AIDS; Karleena Stoner as Maureen Johnson, a bisexual performance artist; Brian McAloon as
Benjamin 'Benny' Coffin III, the local landlord and a former roommate of Roger, Mark, Collins, and Maureen; Justin Stebbins as Angel Dumott Schunard, a gay drag queen percussionist with AIDS; and Sarah Thurston as Joanne Jefferson, a lawyer, who is Maureen's partner.
The cast also features: Sean Arsenault, Briana Chu, Adelyn Connnely, Cate DeMuelle, Adam Gallant, Katie Getz, Alex Pease, Rebecca Rinaldi, Alyssa Rojecki, Caleb Steadwick, and Drew Wells.
